My personal search has lead me, to the idea that if any Torah contradicts itself, then there is reason to doubt all of it.
Yet, in all of my readings and seeking and attempts to understand the Torah and Tanach, I have found only truth. This is not surprising to me, GOD is causing the writing not man. In the sedition of Miriam and Aaron against Moses, the LORD states Numbers 12:8) "With him(Moses) I speak mouth to mouth, plainly and not in riddles...." How could there be an error in the Torah that the LORD caused to be written? The Living GOD that created the heavens and the earth would make certain that the books HE caused to be written, are true and accurate for HIS purposes. Isaiah 40:19) reports "The nations are but a drop in the bucket, Reckoned as dust on a balance;" how do we have the right or understanding to modify or re-interpret the Word of GOD with statements like: “You can not know or live by the Laws of Moses”? When Moses says in Deuteronomy30:15) "See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;". G-D grants understanding and wisdom to any that seek to know and understand.
From the Prophet Moses until this day, the LORD has said return to my Law and Live.
How do we or I return to GOD? Leviticus 26:40) If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; 41) And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: ..... 45) But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
....Deuteronomy30:10 if thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law; if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.....A very enlightening read, Deuteronomy 30.
OR! (Ezekiel 18:21) But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22) All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
(Malachi 4:4) Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Remember: Love GOD and keep HIS commandments and statues.
Shalom,
James Jeffries
