Surprise

Surprise!

When I look around at the world by, attending to the news services, listening to people, studying and thinking, I am stunned into silence. Is there anyone I can model my life after? What do you think, how do you choose to model your life after? Well if you know a Righteous Person(one identified by their actions and life examples) you have an example of how to live, maybe!

We are continually presented with stories starting out like: This Rabbi did this . . . ! ; That Bishop did … . . . ! ; In Berkeley California, they …. ! ; This Republican Senator or Democrat Congressman/woman did such and so; and on and On and ON, –Enough!

It does not matter how people are identified by: race, creed, position, educational degree, community, religious affiliation, but every one of us can have the worst thoughts and actions. Is this because we are made from dirt that we focus on dirt? . Your soul came to you Holy and from G-D, so: You don't have to be dirt. You don't have to stay or act as dirt. All you MUST do is turn to back G-D, Humble Yourself before the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and say “I am sorry for … . . . , please forgive me, teach me right from wrong and have mercy upon my soul.” That is the easy part, the hard part is taking control of yourself. Ezekiel Chapter 18 explains this in detail.

In Isaiah 56:1 …. Observe what is right and do what is just... 2) Happy is the man that does this, The man who holds fast to it: Who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it: Who keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

In Malachi 3:22(or 4:4)) “Remember ye the law of Moses MY servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, even Statues and ordinances.”(JPS1917).

I would seriously suggest that we study to understand what is in the five books of Moses, for from that then rest of the Old Testament/Tanach shows a history of Good vs. Bad behavior and the results, along with the prophets which are calling US back to G-D before it is too late.

I have a role model, the Torah is where I learn and seek that which is right.

Seek Truth, Love Justice, Trust the LORD

What will you answer?

In the not very distant future, each of us will be made to face our actions and our in-actions. This will not be as a group, club, town, family, state, country or race --to be sure that those are all important, it is our own actions and choices that will be judged. Be sure that even if you deny G-D and all of the Laws presented by Moses, you are being judged and the effects carry-on long after you are gone.

You may well ask, “How can this be?”, I am after all: just doing what I am shown; told to do; doing the best I can; a woman; a child; a man; have no reason to believe in ___; an atheist; …. Go ahead pick a cause, fill in the blanks, decline to decide, it does not matter how you see IT –You are seen. You are seen by G-D. You are seen by: your son; daughter; the traffic camera on the corner; other people in the coffee shop; other drivers; people on the bus that passed while you were going to the store;.... What you do, what you say, how you act, how you re-act, how you vote, what you write,.....ok, maybe you get the point, every choice you make effects every person that has seen, heard, felt or has received an outcome from your actions are effected by your choices.

The Torah says that the LORD brings the punishment upon the 3rd and even the 4th generations. I say that your actions speak clearly and distinctly to those generations. We instruct others by our choices and our actions, all the more so when we are unaware that we are doing so. When We teach HATE, dishonor, our morals, our ethics, stealing, lying, selflove, compassion, honor, faith or anything else about Right and Wrong, our demonstrated beliefs cause the generations after us reap the results. Go ahead, really take a look at your actions and choices today. Can you see how what you do matters to so many? Maybe you can think about yesterday also.

I know that G-D is Alive and that there is only One. I also know that there is only truth in the TORAH. The statements of right and wrong are needed, they tells us how to have a whole and healthy life and a safe, healthy World. We are accountable to G-D and to our families, friends and the world.

So when G-D answers that question: Is this True?, Or if you can not deal with that, Who gave you your values? Who are you showing those values to? Is this really the result you want from your life? How about for you child or children or for anybody else, is this really going to make you look good?
What is you answer, NOW?
Shalom,
James

Choosing

I have found that there is only one thing that I CAN GIVE HASHEM(G-D), something that HE can not take or create, and no one else can give, ...My Choice. I Choose G-D, above all else. Adam chose to listen to Eve rather than G-D, the ground was cursed(Genesis 3:17). In first Kings 14: A Prophet set to Jeroboam when he is going to make an offering to an Idol, that is interesting but when the prophet did not do as G-D instructed him.... It has the kind of flavor as Adam's choice.

Forgiveness, Why?

The world is in a terrible place, The End Days and all. Prophetic events are all around us, Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel....

I have been listening to someone who is seeking to understand what is right and is therefore evaluating what they are hearing, seeing and then learning. People that can do that are great examples for all people. I wonder if the person knows about the covenant at Mt. Horeb? By the way the Soul is the death I fear, not the body. Oh, that is what Ezekiel 18 is taking about. It is the body that gets punished as a group, hence the curses to teach (Lev. 26). Our children usually act as we have shown them to act, we give them the values they live their lives by therefore the values that the parents live by will usually be how the children live, once in a while someone will think that something is wrong and try to change their life. That is why punishment is said to go to the 3rd and 4th generation. The person mentioned above chose to see and change, I have chosen to do so, there are others that change, not many, not enough.( --Personal note: I was asked “Why should I be forgiven?” While I was taken aback, I have already given much thought about the need and reasons for forgiveness. If you have no chance to escape Sheol(Numbers 16:30), then why should a person even try to be good, it could be said as "I might as well do whatever I want." This has been played out in some movies in the U.S. If all you need to do is Confess to the L'RD, Change Your ways and sin no more, You do have a reason to change and to hope.--)

Who are the 70 Elders in Ezekiel?

The Sagas have said that Ezekiel is controversial, because things that we have adopted as true are under attack. What if it is our beliefs that are wrong? Those same beliefs that caused prophets to be sent to by Hashem to Israel prior to and during the first and second Temple destructions.

If the seventy elders that Ezekiel sees are performing abominations, why would it be assumed that their teachings then and after, which become Mishnah and the foundations of Talmud, are pure?(Holy) Better than Torah in that where they differ, Torah has less weight or value. Maybe Ezekiel is talking to us today. Telling us that we should take to heart what the prophets have been saying since Moses(approx. 3,650 years). The point has been made that the people of that time were not listening. I don't believe that there has been a change in our attention Today.

The 70 elders are the source of Oral Tradition, in Ezekiel 8, starting at verse 9 then through 13.

25 Men bowing to the Sun facing east away from the Place of the L’RD , how is this different from Greeting the Sabbath Bride in facing west(facing away from G-D, also not found in the Torah or Tanach)?Ezekiel 8:14 & 15.

Last evidence compared to today, Ezekiel 8:17) ...”Do you see, O’mortal? Is it not enough for the House of Judah to practice the abominations that they have committed here, that they must fill the country with lawlessness and provoke Me still further...” This last is not the Blind leading the blind, it is that religious leaders cause followers to go astray from G-D. Don’t take my word for it. Read Ezekiel with an open heart, read it slowly, to savor every meaning, without preconceived notions and ideas. No Training to be used, let G-D show you the meaning.

King Nebuchadnezzer's Dream

I am dismayed by many things these days, status of the world, where prophecy says we are going and how closely they match-up. The world, like never before is performing events describable as the End-of-Days prophecies. The L’RD is performing all that HE has proclaimed.

In my reading of the Book of Daniel a few years ago, while reading Daniel 2:28 ...." He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what is to be at the end of days." The story of the statue in the dream. 2:31 ...."this statue ,....stood before you..." Nebuchadnezzar is in Babylon (location 20 miles south of Baghdad today, where the Euphrates and the Tigris Rivers meet)?

My Comment: The feet of this statue are part clay and iron, even the toes are described as such. Recently Iraq became a two party government, one strong and seeking dominance over the other weaker more willing to "cry foul". This is the first Arab democratic state that I have heard of. You make a point of saying that this represents Rome. I take it that this particular prophecy is about Babylon’s history ending in Iraq, the Sunni and Shiite groups. How would Babylon instead of Rome, effect our understanding of the prophecies if we read it that way?

We have known about Rome for a long time, and this statue does not reside long after the feet come to be, then The unseen Hand makes the ball.....Destruction. This seems too short for the common interpretation
