The Return!

It seems that since Age 6, I have been worried that I would never be able to acceptable to the LORD. How can I be perfect? Even if I am forgiven right now in 30 seconds I might do some sin that I am unaware I am doing, then what? I die in my sin? That is it? A little slip up at the end and a life of striving to be Righteous is destroyed by an accidental failing? What I am trying to say is that, I too have been troubled by such concerns.

In this article, I will attempt to show you can save the most valuable possession you have, Your SOUL. I have known for sometime that The LORD places great value on the SOUL and the life of it. Your soul is not just a from GOD, it is that part formed in HIS IMAGE(not the body of dirt). Greater than that, it is your connection to THE CREATOR. Because of the next entry (Exodus 32), we know that there is a book we call the BOOK Of Life, the SOULS recorded there are LIVING SOULS.

Exodus 32:32 Yet now, if Thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray Thee, out of Thy book which Thou hast written.'
33 And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Whosoever hath sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My book.
[...."sinned against me"....  This will require some more thought, for another time.]

Ezekiel 18:26 When the righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall die therefore; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

So, sinning against GOD equals the death of your soul, yet while your body is alive, you may have time to change your outcome.

I have heard some people reason like this: So it is possible to change and so I can do it anytime. Maybe I will change my ways just before I die so that I don't have to strive to be Righteous all of the time.

Personally I do not think this will work for the following reasons:
1) THE CREATOR OF EVERYTHING, knows your thoughts, because you know your thoughts(your soul is a link), so HE knows your plan. HE is THE COURT and the JUDGE. Not a wise idea.
2) None of us know that the next heart beat will be there, so how much time do you have?
3) You must stop doing that which is wicked, but you must also DO that which is RIGHTEOUS. If you do not have enough time to to do that which is lawful and right, how can you save your soul? This requires actions on your part, not just words or thoughts, but the action of doing what is lawful and right.
4) The final JUDGE is GOD as to whether you have died in your righteousness and not in sin.

You may like to know that the BELOVED OF GOD, those HE called friend were not perfect. They fell down, they sinned. Some even sinned great sins. Yet they turned away from wickedness and did that which is Righteous.

Examples of the heroes in the Tanakh. Abram(Abraham) failed many times and yet in the end Righteous.
Jacob son of Isaac, son of Abraham, also did wicked things in his day, yet he became righteous before GOD.
Moses ran away from Egypt after killing an Egyptian overseer -- Yet he changed and did great things with the LORD.
Aaron failed many times, he even created the golden calf idol. Yet HE and his sons became the high priest serving in the HOLY OF HOLY before GOD.
King David, failed several times. Once he even broke most of the TEN SAYINGS, and yet loved by the LORD, and given a promise which GOD up holds. We look forward to the Anointed One that will sit upon the Throne of David, also know as the Messiah.

LAST

Isaiah 56:1 Thus saith the LORD: Keep ye justice, and do righteousness; for My salvation is near to come, and My favour to be revealed. 2 Happy is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth fast by it: that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

You can change, you can live and your soul can live, if you decide to do it. Just do it NOW.

Yaakov
