Moses, descendant of Levi, the one the The GOD of Israel, spoke to mouth to mouth, as a friend.
Here is a man that was a shepherd in Midian maybe forty or more years, and made one choice that changed the world ever after. One decision which we have recorded, that opened his eyes so that he could never go back to being a tender of sheep again. Later!
There was a time when Moses failed, and was punished for the failure, although I could show evidence that he, Moses was suppose to fail at this event.
How did Moses fail? In grief over the death of Miriam, and with the children of Israel even the whole congregation strove with Moses, complaining against Moses for bringing them to the desert to die of thirst. When he could take no more, He and Aaron went to the tent of meeting and fell upon their faces before The LORD. Without a word from Moses, “Numbers 20:8 ‘Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes, that it give forth its water; and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock; so thou shalt give the congregation and their cattle drink.’” So the first words of Moses are: “Numbers 20:10 . . . .’Hear now, ye rebels; are we to bring you forth water out of this rock?’”
Poor Moses. Poor, poor Moses. Does no one care how he Feels? What is his emotional state now? The pain of loss, the incessant whining and complaining of this people and then even GOD did not let him speak of his trouble! Oh, but punishment he did receive. And what punishment, “Numbers 20:12 And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron: ‘Because ye believed not in Me, to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.’” Why the punishment? Did Moses break a Commandment? A teaching perhaps? Is there something we have not been told about, for which Moses failed?
Moses never wanted to go back to Egypt, to free anyone. He did not want to place himself in harms way. We already stood up or a Hebrew Slave, where a Egyptian died and the next day, two Hebrews were fighting, they were insolent and wanted to know who made him ruler over them. One even shouted back “thinkest thou to kill me, as thou didst kill the Egyptian?”(Exodus 2:14). Why should Moses in anyway desire to go deal with these people. Better that he stay a shepherd in Midian. And, yet Moses is the one The LORD did choose to send. When the LORD sends you, you will go.
Moses, we are shown, had may test of his worthiness to be the One Moses. NO the Tests are not generally acknowledged as test of Moses. We treat them more like; the way we treat the rest of what Moses wrote at GOD’S instruction and assistance. Given to us as evidence of GOD; and as “evidence” for us to learn and grow from. That, even that, we do not understand and for the most part as evidenced by our actions. We demonstrate that, we think we know better than Moses and don’t need to understand any of this stuff.
So what is Moses’s dilemma? How to tell the Children of Jacob, and from them everyone else that each of us is responsible. We must save their own soul by following the Father of That SOUL. Like teaching children HE SAID, This is right and this is wrong. Do good and you get reward, do bad and you get what you earned. It is HIS Universe, HIS POWER and HIS CHILDREN, HE ONLY WANTS WHAT IS RIGHT. So why are we so set that HE is wrong and we are right? We simple lose everything in the end or GAIN EVERYTHING doing it HIS WAY.
Moses, in his writings, show us that he is aware of what is going to happen to us. No not just then, but all the way to the Last Day of the Earth. We have a contract, the Children of Jacob, and the Children of Ishreal, with the LIVING GOD OF ISHRAEL. Do this and you GET This; but do that and this will be your earnings –disasters, heart ache, sorrow, . . . . Why, because we are the example to the world which does not have our relationship with The Creator of The Heavens and The Earth. We were chosen, starting with Abram, to be the example to a bad world. Blessings when we do it Right and pain, sorrow, curses when we reject GOD and HIS WORD at the Hand Of Moses(Written TORAH).
Near the end of the Forty Years in the wilderness, Moses writes Deuteronomy in a style of trying to get through to US that we have just lived through all of these marvelous times, received all of this knowledge of Right and wrong. This according to the Judge of the Universe, who we have been in HIS Presence nearly forty years, and yet we have not the ears to hear, the eyes to see nor the heart to understand, all that Moses has been made to relate to us.
Moses is even told what will happen when he is not with us, how bad we will become. How we reject Our Salvation, refuse to do good, and will suffer all the way to the end of the world. Are we not the fools? We have had what the world has not had, “Proof that OUR GOD IS GOD, ONE GOD, and that we are HIS ISHRAEL when we CHOOSE HIM as GOD”
So for about a third of his life, he has knowledge of the GOD of Ishrael and what will happen to US today. How is the LORD through Moses, to get this information into our hearts than we might LIVE and not die in sin, sorrow and shame. We have the Written TORAH, the instruction Manual of GOD written by the hand of Moses, instructing us on all we need to KNOW and DO. That was Moses’s dilemma, how to tell these people so that they might become ISHRAEL, the RIGHTEOUS OF GOD. Even HIS Children.
Moses’s punishment, because he did not Believe or TRUST,(Same word in the Hebrew of the Written Torah) is based on evidence. So the next question should be: What evidence did Moses have that he should TRUST GOD? This is in a file I wrote called “Trust and Believe” So are trust and believe Commandments or Teachings? I don’t recall such a command or teaching, only that Moses tells Us to Love The Lord Our GOD with All of our Heart, All of our Soul, All of our Being.
So what punish Moses for this thing? What I learn from the story of Moses, is that his relationship with The ALMIGHTY is one that I would aspire to have myself. With any position leadership, you are the example for others, Moses was and is the one that GOD Trust to be that leader. As one of the Children of Ishrael and Jewish, I strive to be an example. We are rightly held to a higher standard, because we have the history, the prophecies and we have had the ALMIGHTY saving us from extinction by other people. Each of them are gone for the world, while we being few in number are still here. Praise the LORD GOD. Those that have no knowledge of OUR GOD, look to us to show the way.
Oh!, that Choice, the one that he made it, which changed the World forever! Here let me show you the recording:
Exodus 3:
1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the farthest end of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.
2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said: ‘I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.’

If Moses had not decided to go see, then what? (GOD KNEW HE WOULD CHOOSE!)
So do you seen his choice? That is true for us, you and I; that the smallest choice and insignificant action, has the greatest effect on our lives? Everyday and each time, choose wisely, for it may be the ONE most important choice of your life.
For Moses doing the “looky loo” thing change not only his life forever, but that of every soul on earth since he made that choice and went to see.

Time to find out what you need to change to have a life beyond this earth. You need to know and do it.
I can show you the way, if you want to know.
IT is to our benefit to HEARKEN until the LIVING GOD OF ISRAEL, and to our pain and shame to do otherwise.
My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!(Isaiah 6: 9 And He said: ‘Go, and tell this people: hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, return, and be healed.’)
